About Me
I am a Scottish women living in Chile for the past two decades, married to a Chilean with two children who at times straddle between the two cultures with an ease that is enviable!
I began my work experience as a Speech and Language therapist specializing in adult neurology in Wales Where my passion for neuroscience and effective communication skills were born.
I then came to Chile to work in a social Project for deaf children in a rural area of the country for what I thought was a stay of 3 years and I am still here over 25 years later.
For the past twelve years I have worked as a Global Leadership Coach working with leaders and teams worldwide . I am an active member of The International Coaching Federation (ICF), the largest coaching organization in the world and am bound by the ICF Code of Ethics and standards as a professional coach. My Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential is an indication of my commitment to high ethical standards and is evidence of , rigorous assessment, competence in using a variety of behaviors and skills in my work with clients.
My position as former President of ICF Chile and my work as a facilitator with Global Organizations such as World Business Executive Coaching Summit (Wbecs), and The Certification for Conversational Intelligence® (C-IQ), WITH The We Institute New York and work as mentor coach for coaches, reflect my commitment to my continuous professional growth and service to the Coaching Profession
Giving Back
My belief, ever since I was a very small girl, has always been and continues to be “After a person has lived, the world should be a better place”. At heart, I’ve been fortunate to take part in the most amazing projects in which I’ve received more than I could ever hope to give.
From projects in the south of Chile with the Mapuche communities, travelling to the depths of the rural areas, sharing with some of the most astounding life teachers on earth, working with the deaf community who taught me that those who cannot hear are the best listeners!
As a professional coach it is important for me to allocate a percentage of my time to accompany non profit organizations. For me it It is a privilege to accompany organizations and individuals working in education, groups of dedicated professionals working from a profound sense of vocation and service to others. My coaching work has also allowed me to accompany foundations working to support young students restricted from attending higher education due to a lack of financial resources and support coaching colleagues in countries torn apart by unrest and economic ruin.
Thank you to all of you because you have allowed me to be a part of your vision for a better world!

Fundación Portas Chile
Fiona was my coach during the process of my training and certification in Out of the Box, several years ago. To this day, I remember with great affection and gratitude her support in that process. She was not only a 100% professional coach but also, I felt that she approached that experience with a deep commitment to another human being. Honestly, I don't have the words or phrases at hand to express it... I can only say that I have a profound feeling of gratitude, admiration, and respect for her. If someday any of my dearest ones needed a coach, I would not hesitate to recommend Fiona to them.

After a frustrating 31-year tenure with the NHS, I felt unmotivated and trapped. However, Fiona's intuitive and compassionate guidance helped me make guilt-free decisions by encouraging self-exploration of my motives and values. Thanks to her, I now have a new job in a better environment where I still utilize my skills. Immense gratitude to Fiona!
